Baby it's cold outside...
So, tomorrow I am scheduled for the Iowa Games 5k. The weather in Dubuque tomorrow should look like this:
10am: Flurries, -4°F, Windchill: -21°F
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking it would be INSANE to run in weather like this. My dad said he will pay for me to be in a different race (even a more expensive one) if I opt out. He thinks it's just way too dangerous. I can't say I disagree, but I feel like I should follow through.

My name is Robert Key and I am a runner from Houston, Texas. I saw your blog listed when I was looking through the RBF directory and very much enjoyed reading some of your entries. I can not fathom running in weather that cold. Down here we have heat indexes consistently over 100 degrees 6 months out of the year with humidity 70-100%, so I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum from you. I agree with your Dad. I have an 18 year old daughter, and if it were her, I'd get to opt out.
